The Best Shellfish Shucker in Europe at the Café de la Paix!

The Café de la Paix not only has a Michelin-starred Chef, it now also has a renowned shellfish shucker! Arezki Ounissi was recently awarded the prestigious title of Meilleur Ecailler d’Europe (Best Shellfish Shucker in Europe). Our shellfish enthusiast was awarded 1st prize - the Léon Beyer cup - on November 28th, by the Prosper Montagné Gastronomy Club following the contest held at the “La Bonne Franquette” restaurant.

Arezki’s performance was commended by the President of the Jury, Etienne Chavrier, M.O.F* Fishmonger and Shucker, whose expertise and professionalism enabled him to judge the high quality of Areski Oussini’s work.

This award is a source of pride for the Café de la Paix teams and contributes to the restaurant’s reputation as a quintessential Parisian eatery serving the finest shellfish and seafood.
