A Caribbean-style Cocktail

A Caribbean-style Cocktail

If you already miss the summer sun before September has come and gone, the West Indian Planter’s cocktail served at the Grand Hôtel Bar, is for you. This drink is the brainchild of one of the hotel’s barmen, Marc, who joined the team five years ago. Marc wanted to spotlight his West Indian roots by mixing fruits with rum, the iconic alcohol of his native Martinique. The exotic fruit flavour is another invitation to travel, a scrumptious blend of banana, pineapple and guava juices. Marc then adds a mix of white rum and aged golden rum before spicing things up with a hearty dose of nutmeg and cinnamon sticks. The mixture is then macerated in a bottle for two to three days, allowing the spices to fully infuse the cocktail.

€24, available on the Grand Hôtel Bar’s menu
