Café de la Paix sets its terrace tables for spring!

With the arrival of warm spring days, the Café de la Paix terrace becomes an inviting place to stop for a little something.

And our pastry chef, Dominique Costa makes the temptation even harder to resist with his new creation: a luscious orange-chocolate moelleux to be enjoyed overlooking the Place de l’Opéra!

Why not opt for the special offer which includes coffee or tea with this traditional cake to be enjoyed on our sunny terrace.

“Clients are looking for authentic, simple fare,” maintains Chef Dominique Costa. “That’s why I chose a French favourite, the moelleux, and added my own little twist.”

When it comes to cocktails, Soizic Lemercier, our head bartender once more shines the spotlight on her talented team.

This time it is Laura, bartender at the Grand Hôtel since 2015, who has created an all-new cocktail for you to sip and savour: the Garnier. This drink will be served exclusively on the Café de la Paix terrace. In fact, Laura was inspired by a client who ordered a long drink made of cognac, berry liqueur, lemon juice and sparkling lemonade.

“It’s unusual for a client to make such a precise request. I really liked the cocktail and wanted to share it with other clients at the Café de la Paix, adding my own personal touch. The combination of cognac and berry liqueur creates perfect balance.”

She takes Rémy Martin cognac, adds the sweet notes of Chambord liqueur (mixed berries, featuring blackberry) and a dash of fizzy lemonade for a drink that literally sparkles. This a cocktail is sure to tempt more than one, women and men alike.
